A Microsoft word that means changing the settings of Windows from their default. For example, you can change the background wallpaper, or you could change the colours of the title bars, the font used by Windows and so on. To make these changes, use the Control Panel icon in the Main program group of Windows 3.1x or the Start/ Settings menu item in Windows 95.
